Terms & Conditions

(a) All motor vehicle bookings are FINAL. Cancellation penalties depend on motor vehicle type (see Cancellation Policy at Item 3 below). An Administration Charge (specified below) applies to all booking changes and cancellations.

(b) Adelaide Car Hire is a booking service for the Suppliers. You will be required to complete a rental agreement directly with the relevant Supplier on collection of the rented vehicle. Your rental is subject to the terms and conditions of the respective Supplier with whom the rental agreement is made.

(c) Each Supplier is responsible for notifying inventory levels to Adelaide Car Hire. Adelaide Car Hire does not accept any liability for unavailability of vehicles caused by the Supplier over-selling its own vehicle inventory.

(d) You are required to produce the same current, full and valid drivers licence as used to book the motor vehicle rental when collecting and completing the rental agreement. You will also be required to provide a credit card at collection of the rented vehicle. For non pre-paid bookings, this card will be charged by the Supplier for the cost of the vehicle rental. This card will also be used to cover additional charges (such as extra insurance, fuel prepayments, security deposits, Stamp Duty and Taxes not included at time of booking). NOTE: The credit card presented must be in the name of one of the parties that are travelling, it cannot be in the name of a party who is NOT present at the time of picking up the vehicle.

(e) Adelaide Car Hire makes every effort to ensure that the information available on its web site is accurate ("the Site"). However, Adelaide Car Hire cannot and does not guarantee that the Site is free from errors, faults or omissions. Adelaide Car Hire does not accept liability for any errors or ommissions and reserves the right to change information published on the Site at any time.

(f) Adelaide Car Hire will not be liable (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) for any indirect or consequential loss arising out of the use of or connected with the Site or for any products or services purchased from the Site.p>

(g) Adelaide Car Hire makes no warranty or representation about the fitness or suitability of any product or service advertised on the Site. To the extent permitted by law, all other terms, conditions, agreements, warranties, representations, or understandings whether express or implied, in any way extending to, otherwise relating to, or binding upon Adelaide Car Hire, other than these Terms are hereby excluded.

(h) Adelaide Car Hire receives a payment from the Suppliers for the provision of the Adelaide Car Hire booking service.

(i) You must be at least 21 years of age, with a current and full Australian or International drivers licence, written in English to book motor vehicle rental on Adelaide Car Hire. Probationary Licences are not accepted. Most of the prices displayed are for drivers over 25 years of age. If you are under 25 years of age, at the rental collection point you may:

(i) be asked to pay a surcharge to complete the rental agreement,
(ii) have your rental agreement denied and your booking cancelled. (refer to our cancellation policy)

(j) These Terms do not affect consumers' statutory rights.

(k) All car rentals include unlimited mileage, unless otherwise stated under the 'offer details' of your booking.

(l) Bookings made through Adelaide Car Hire are not eligible for express service, car rental loyalty programs or frequent flyer miles (unless otherwise stated by the relevant Supplier's 'offer details').

(m) Neither Adelaide Car Hire nor any Supplier will accept coupons for upgrades, free days, discounts or any other promotions.

(n) In these Terms, a reference to 'AUD', '$' or 'dollar' is a reference to the lawful currency of Australia.

(o) All amounts are inclusive of GST unless specified as being 'exclusive of GST'.

(p) You agree that these Terms shall be deemed to be made in the state of Victoria in the Commonwealth of Australia and is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of Victorian Courts.

(q) Any part of these Terms being the whole or part of a clause shall be capable of severance without effecting any other part of these Terms.

(r) Registration data and certain other information about you is subject to our Privacy Policy. For more information, please review our full Privacy Policy. You acknowledge that Adelaide Car Hire will disclose your information to your nominated Supplier in order to provide the rental services. Adelaide Car Hire may also disclose your information to any other service provider Adelaide Car Hire engages to carry out or assist its functions or activities.

(s) PLEASE NOTE - While you are allowed and encouraged to share fuel expenses with your fellow travellers, it is illegal to charge them a fare.

(t) You are not permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle is legally registered to carry (as indicated on the Vehicle Details page on the Site).

2. Cancellation Policy

There is an administration charge of AUD25.00 for any booking changes or cancellations made ("Administration Charge"). The Administration Charge is additional to other fees that may be levied under the cancellation policy below.
